I've been running out of storage and don't have the budget to buy any more, so I've been monitoring the folder sizes on my share by hand using Treesize and a spreadsheet (I know, I know). Running Windows Server 2008 R2 (not file server). The drive in question is a shared drive that is connected to a DFS namespace on our actual 'file server' which is a VM. 
I don't have a file/storage monitor running (no resources to buy one, if you have a cheap or free one to recommend that'd be great).
My main fileserver is also my DC (I know, I didn't set it up). I have a unique environment without many resources, and I'm only in my second year as admin so any help you could give would be appreciated. I'm not sure if this is an issue with treesize or if my SAN is actually experiencing a problem and wanted to see if the community has had any experience with this. Over the last week or so I've noticed that the free space has been fluctuating without regard to the actual amount of data that treesize is showing is present on the disk. I'm experiencing an issue with a the free space showing on my main file server.
